07.19.10 Blend Creates Another Environment, This Time to Benefit Art Students

Blend Event Marketing Tranforms a Hotel Ballroom into an Art Gallery For Los Angeles’ Otis College of Art and Design’s 28th Annual Scholarship Benefit Fashion Show

Ladera Ranch, Calif. (July 2010) – 2010 marked the 28th year that Otis College of Art and Design hosted a fashion show presenting runway fashion designed by students under the direction of renowned mentors. The evening affair is an important fundraising event, with the monies raised going towards scholarships that benefit students across disciplines at Otis, many of whom are promising young artists and designers who would otherwise be unable to complete their education without this critical financial support.

The most significant funds are raised during the auction portion of the Benefit, and this year Blend Event Marketing elevated the auction experience to an unparalleled level. Within a standard ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Blend created a unique installation that transformed the space into a contemporary art gallery.

“The feedback from the evening was amazing. Guests commented that it was the best auction in our 28 year history,” said Heather Schraeder, director of special events at Otis School of Art and Design. “Blend was able to create an environment that truly exceeded our vision, bringing a flurry of excitement to the room.”

The Otis project was an inspiring one for Blend Event Marketing. Creative director, Steve Holt, explains, “Producing an environment for artists to showcase their work presents its own creative challenge. And knowing that the auction’s fundraising helps many students continue in their design education through scholarships, we felt a responsibility to create a space that put the spotlight on the students’ art.”

Blend also participated in the evening as a Platinum Sponsor. “It was an honor to have an opportunity to not only produce the auction, but to contribute to the event as well,” continued Holt. “We are blown away by the talent of Otis’ students, and look forward to following their bright futures.”

Blend Event Marketing Executes Successful Programs at COMPUTEX Show Results Demonstrate Increase in Customer Meetings

Ladera Ranch, Calif. (June 29, 2009) – Blend Event Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in meeting planning, event production and exhibit coordination, recently completed a successful client event at COMPUTEX 2009 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Working within a tight two-week timeframe, Blend planned and executed all aspects of the client's product demonstration suite, which was designed to highlight each product in its practical environment. Product demonstrations were organized by market segment, which allowed customers to easily identify markets that were relevant to their business.

The event also included extensive customer and executive meeting rooms to host the client's many customer, partner, media and analyst meetings. The meeting rooms showcased a corporate graphic display, furnishings for meetings and presentations. Working with the client's advertising agency, Blend deftly managed the production of all show graphics and international coordination.
